Artist's Commentary

“Utopian Dream II carries the series further into a landscape governed by association rather than ordinary logic. A solitary traveller follows a coastal road towards the horizon, while a distant red figure and a monumental fragmented face create the sense of something glimpsed but not yet attained. Architecture, water and volcanic light coexist within an unstable dream geography. Running through the composition is a quiet thread of pursuit and hope—the search for meaning beyond everyday experience.”
